Supporting communities that promote science, technology, and the wellbeing of youth means contributing to a better tomorrow.
This time we partnered up with School & School to support a unique educational event – kid’s World Robotics Olympiad in BiH, that occurred in Sarajevo in December.
Each season of this fantastic competition includes a new theme, which makes the experience quite thrilling for both the kids and the sponsors! For 2020, the theme was: ‘Climate Squad’. The teams had a very serious mission: to develop robots that will allow people to better adapt and overcome the increasingly frequent climatic hazards!

The Global Initiative Popularizing Robotics and STEM
The World Robotics Olympiad in BiH is part of a prominent global initiative that aims to promote robotics in STEM education worldwide. The mission behind this global project is to give young people the opportunity to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills in a fun, engaging way.
The World Robotics Olympiad (WRO) tournaments are organized in 85+ countries worldwide, with new countries joining in on the fun each year.
WRO is determined and devoted to:
- Encourage young people to be future scientists, engineers, and inventors,
- Help youngsters acquire soft skills like creative thinking, cooperation, and communication,
- Help introduce the concept of modern science into educational activities worldwide,
- Promote robotics in STEM education,
- Bring together young people from different communities to learn new skills, and gain new, diverse experience.
The competition is divided into 6 age groups as anyone aged 8-25 can apply. During the competition, teams build robots from Lego Mindstorms elements and other tech devices.
The WRO BiH gathered children from all over BiH, providing a unique opportunity for the exchange of ideas, experiences, and bonding over practical science!
