Born2Ski 2021: How Mountain Bjelašnica got its IT Queen

One of our favorite winter team hobbies is definitely skiing. There is a big bunch of passionate skiers in Mistral who never let a snowy weekend go by without visiting our Olympic beauties.

In that spirit, despite the situation caused by the pandemic, some of the bravest colleagues decided to compete in Born2ski, a race organized annually by Audi.

This wasn’t the first time we entered this business race (all competitors wear the flags of their companies), and it sure won’t be our last! On Thursday, February 25, 3 Mistal competitors signed up for the challenge:

Nađa š., project manager – a fearless lioness both in sport and in business
Mirza S., graphic designer – a creative mastermind with a meticulous approach to everything
Samir F., software engineer – an embodiment of positivity and excellence

There was supposed to be a 4th competitor, but Edin J. couldn’t make it this time due to illness. Nevertheless, his energy and enthusiasm were long felt in the team as he was the most hyped member from the early registration!

The competing team spent half of Thursday warming up for the race while sponsors made sure there is a cozy food & drinks corner on the finish line. The cheering committee a.k.a. diehard supporters came in as soon as they finished work, and so the games began.

Our fierce contestants made the entire Mistral team very proud of their performance on the slopes. Nađa even managed to score the best time in the category of individual competitors, earning her a gold medal! She was simply spectacular!

The entire race night was filled with laughter, cheering, awesome music, great food, red noses, memorable bloopers, and above all – positive energy!

Team gatherings, being smaller and fewer in times of pandemic, feel more precious than ever. However, safety is our top priority so bigger gatherings are not on our radar anytime soon.

Until next year, Bjelašnica!
